Petrodata Management Services Ltd was incorporated in October 1994 in Nigeria as a limited liability company, established to pioneer data storage and management services in Nigeria and West Africa. We have since been providing data storage and management solutions to all the major oil producing companies in Nigeria. Due to increasing demand we recently diversified into document storage and archive management for clients such as financial institution, insurance etc.

Petrodata Services has virtually unlimited ability to duplicate and translate digital data. This includes the transcription of information between any type of media or format. Petrodata storage Facility in Lagos occupies about 660 square metre of production and storage space, where over 70% of the space is dedicated to storage.
The facility can store over 1 million tapes with associated documents.
Petrodata Management Services also understands how important it is to protect the confidentiality of your information using the ISO27001:2013 standard. We will process your data without reading or interpreting it, thus proprietary and confidential information remains secure; in addition all staffs are made to sign a confidentiality agreement and background checks are carried out prior to employment.
Project Approach
We have well established Well Log digitization procedures which include
- Scanning of logs at client specified resolutions ( up to 1600dpi)
- Well log integrity validation – Checking logs for quality and coverage before digitization.
- Creating digital well log data from raster images (scanned well log images).
- Comprehensive well log header information capturing.
- Generating formation evaluation parameters (curves) from the digitized well data for subsequent use in evaluation and analysis of the reservoir.
- Automated depth gridding & curve tracing expediting curve capturing along the entire depth.
- Real time visual verification is achieved as the curve traces directly overlays the image original.
- Experienced and well trained personnel to scan, digitize, analyse sections on work station suited with NeuraLog, NeuraSection and other software.
- Well established document control system for proper tracking of output files and scanned images.
